I understand how you feel as a mother. I do not have a child with disability but we ministered to children with developmental challenges. I would like to tell you that your two little girls are blessed because lots of the villagers are helping them. But here in Palawan, Philippines only limited help to these type of children, because even our government is not supportive enough.
You will be included in our Dawn Watch prayer every day.
My prayers are with your family always. I hope that all the efforts Stacey (Momma) and all of us at Because We Care will pay off and help your family and those beautiful little girls. See you all again soon..
Hi Dina. You don't know me and I know Eric only thru my job, where he comes to get FREE (LOL) coffee pretty much on a daily basis. For a long time I had no idea that he had a child with special needs until we both had said something about being at King's Island on the same day. The adventures for wish kids outing. My son has battled Leukemia since the age of 5 and is now 15, so I can relate to a certain amount of what you go though. My son's circumstances have improved and he will go on to lead a normal life and put this all behind him. I know that in the case of your daughter there will always be a demand for constant care. I'm sure people have asked you many times "How do you do this?" I know the answer to that. For your child is how. I always said he can't run away what right do I have to run? Although what are children are going through is different , as mothers we share the same desires and goals for them. I know how important it is to have support from organizations and people in this time of great need. Eric sent me the info regarding the fundraiser and I would love to buy a t-shirt for sure. It's families like yours and kids like Sydney that make me so grateful that my son came out on the other side and make me want to give what I can to others. I have to say you have done a great job with her site. It must be hard to let so many people into not only your triumphs, but also your daily struggles. Have a great day.
Happy New Year Dina! I think of you and often tell my own little girl about you and your dog that you use to dye different colors! You would sometimes dye her pink or purple! I am so glad to have found this information and will share this with my own network of friends. I will keep you in my prayers and pray for your family. We no longer live in KY but moved six years ago to TN. I had twins and almost lost both due to a rare and uncommon freak of nature. Georgia barely survived and Grace just couldn't win her own fight. I am going to stop what I am doing today and spend some time with her today......
